Consider the Audi 5000CS Turbo Quattro s permanent all-wheel drive and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). A combination which prompted Car and Driver to say that. “Taken together, four wheel drive and anti-lock brakes
amount to one of the most important advances in car control... in decades."
Audi's all-wheel drive utilizes a unique third differential which not only distributes power to all four wheels, it transmits the power to whichever wheel can use it most effectively. The result is exceptional traction on virtually every driving surface.
When activated, the Anti-Lock Braking System senses when the wheels are about to
lock. Then automatically pumps the brakes at up to 10 times per second. The system helps prevent the driver from losing steering control even during hard braking.
Under the sleek hood of the Audi 5000CS Turbo Quattro lurks a high performance, 158 horsepower engine that propels the Audi to 50 mph in 5.7 seconds. When the engine is turned off, a separate pump circulates coolant to help increase the life of the turbocharging unit.
