In honor of our country's 150th Anniversary, The Merrick Mint has released this special set of 14 colorized medallions that features the most iconic wildlife species in Canadian History and culture and the Official 150th Anniversary Logo. The 150th anniversary of Canada, also known as the 150th anniversary of Confederation and promoted by the Canadian government as Canada 150, occurred in 2017 as Canada marked the sesquicentennial anniversary of Canadian Confederation. This 14 Coin Set of Medallions has been beautifully enhanced with colorized images by the Merrick Mint. Each set comes with a full color Certificate of Authenticity with each medallion is packaged in premium coin capsules. These medallions have been colorized with an application of special inks directly to the surface, using a unique and painstakingly multicolor process, which achieves a level of detail, color saturation, and durability that is #1 in the industry. Each medallion is about the same size as a U.S. Half Dollar coin and features a Canada Maple Leafs design on the reverse and a colorized images on the obverse.
