Description
I had some interest in old and really worn copper coins so figured I would offer up the “junk box” collection of 40+ Canadian coins and provincial tokens/coins. What’s here is a conglomerate of every known type of damage that could possibly befall a coin! There’s worn, holed, graffiti, cut, you name it! Some of the interesting pieces are:Half Penny Bank Tokens: 1832, 1850 & 1852 (holed, dented, & dinged)
One Penny Bank Tokens: 1842 & 1857 (dented & dinged, scratched)
Large Cents: five Queen Victoria (1859-1892); two Edward VII (1904 & 1907) and a 1913 George V (dented, dinged & bent)
Silver five Cents: five Queen Victoria (1880-1901); three Edward VII (1904, 06 & 10) and a 1913 George V (holed, dented, dinged, bent & 1 no date)
Silver ten Cents: one Queen Victoria (1870), a Edward VII (1906) & three worn no date George V (worn, dinged & dented)
Silver 25 Cents: 1903 & 1912 (well worn) & two well worn undated George V pieces
1861 Nova Scotia (holed & worn) & 1871 Prince Edward Island (scratches & dings) one Cent pieces
There’s over 1.6 troy ounces of pure silver in this lot!!
